Special Needs Kids are People Too!
Amy Bodkin Consulting believes in
seeing every child as a person, not a diagnosis –
because a special needs kid is just like any other child, just more so!

Amy is an Autistic adult who also happens to be a School Psychologist turned Special Needs Consultant and Public Speaker!
She’s also a homeschooling mom to two autistic kiddos, a yoga instructor, a card-carrying Trekkie, and an all-around fun person!
"Amy is a breath of fresh air! She understands the public education system, yet with her background in neuropsychology is able to truly understand the child. She confirmed everything I had researched about the brain and learning and gave me more information I was not aware of. She was the first professional that TRULY understood my child, my situation and how to help us PRACTICALLY. I wish I could give her 100 stars!"

"Thank you, Amy, for caring about me!"

"Amy has been a tremendous help in changing the way I not only interact with my clients, but how I set up my goals in order to take their perspective into more well-rounded, unique interventions. The parents that have worked with her have mentioned on numerous occasions how much they value her input, and are thankful to continue working with her on an on-going basis. I highly recommend Amy as a Consultant and as someone to advocate for the autism community as a whole.”

Amy has helped me so much. I have learned so much about myself after my consultations with her. She diagnosed me with NVLD and helped me secure accommodations for my college entrance exams, which helped immensely. I am now a straight A’s college student, and I owe it all to Amy.

"Amy has gone above and beyond for each step of this process. She took the time to get to know my child’s strengths and weaknesses academically and behaviorally. It was such a productive meeting and I learned so much. I’m so grateful to her and can’t wait to see how my daughter does with these new materials. I’m feeling hopeful again and have not felt that way in a LONG time. THANK YOU AMY!!"

“I had the pleasure of working with Amy on a professional symposium. She graciously shared her insight as an autistic adult and psychologist. Hearing both her personal and professional experiences has provided important considerations for working with autistic children. Amy was honest and eloquent when giving consultative advice. I am grateful to have learned from her!”
